Adventurous, Educational Opportunities.
We
provide all year a range of adventurous, educational opportunities.
The
Mount Batten Sailing and Watersports Centre, is situated
on the site of an old Royal Air Force base on the southern
side of the River Plym on the outskirts of Plymouth. The
Centre programmes are designed to make the best use of these
facilities and natural resources and also those found on
nearby Dartmoor. There is a water taxi service to and from
the historical Barbican area of the city which is also host
to the Plymouth Marine Aquarium.
Our
outdoor adventurous activities include:
* sailing
* canoeing
* windsurfing
* climbing
* caving
* problem solving
* coasteering
These
challenging activities are delivered within clear safety
guidelines approved by the Adventurous Activities Licensing
Authority (*AALA Ref R0615) and appropriate national governing
bodies eg Royal Yachting Association (RYA), British Canoe
Union (BCU).
Programmes
are tailor-made to explore the benefits of the outdoors
as a learning environment and may consist of a week, a day
or a half-day session. Residential
outdoor packages are
increasingly popular with catering options available to
schools. Prices from £25.00 full board.
The
Residential option is an
excellent way to enhance your groups enjoyment. Full board
from £25.00pp with a concession of one adult per 12
