WIRELESS INTERNET AND TODAYS CONFERENCE MARKET
Certain facilities are taken for granted
theses days, from correct lighting and audio visual to refreshments
and all manner of support materials. One service is becoming
more and more in demand these days and that is to stay connected
to the web. Not only are more conferences using “on-line”
material but delegates require a “WiFi” connection
as Wireless Internet connection is known. This allows users
to connect to the Internet without network cables from any
where within the conference facility and afterwards perhaps
in the bar and lounge areas. Delegates are free to surf, collect
and send e-mails or collaborate online with other users. Apart
from the convenience “WiFi” is a public connection
and we recommend you work behind a “Firewall”.Mount
Battens “WiFi” system will be fully operational
at the end of February 2006.
Conference organisers and individuals can order online
time to suit their needs
