VHF Radio Courses

Marine VHF radio usage is changing and in our view everyone who goes to sea should be capable of operating a VHF radio effectively. The Short Range Certificate, SRC, covers all aspects of using a VHF radio correctly including the new generation of radios fitted with Digital Selective Calling, DSC, for use within the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System.

The old VHF Restricted Certificate is still valid for use on voice-only radios. All users of CDs radios must have the Short Range Certificate - a conversion course is also available.
